I can't believe how incredibly slack I am about updating this journal! I've just been catching up on Socar's journal, and she doesn't half inspire me to update my own journal. The thing is, I don't have nearly as much interesting things to say. Nevermind, I'll try to find interesting things to say...even if I have to make 'em up!
I've been feeding the neighbour's cat this week while they've been on holiday. A very sweet cat, really; except she's prone to killing birds when she's let outside, and today, I discovered that she'd shattered a vase of silk flowers overnight. I suspect part of the problem is that her family's away, and part of it is that she has no toys! I made a toy of sorts... I tied a piece of fabric to a stick for her to chase - she seemed to really like it, so we (my husband and I) got her some fabric mice to play with when we went shopping tonight. Her family will be back on Sunday, so it's left a bit late, I fear, but she's only just started to mess about with stuff in the house, it seems - there was a fridge magnet out of place yesterday, so I think she's just reached the end of how much solitude she can stand! I've been staying for half an hour or more (usually more) each day, just to provide her with some company, but I imagine she's tired of being on her own and is merely trying to entertain herself (hence the broken vase).
There...a journal update, boring as it may be!
I still haven't organized my holiday photos into a proper holiday journal for posting. I'll probably just upload 'em to Flickr or something and post a link here. It's a long weekend this weekend, so I'll see how much I can get done!
