Return of the missing

Well, I'm mostly back after being away for a while! Last week was a real trial....I haven't been confined to my bed with a bad back in about 2 1/2 years or so! Last time, it was over 2 weeks, but this time, only 1 week...improvement! (I think)

There were lows (OH! were there lows!!)...like not being able to find a comfortable position AT ALL, frustration at having so much I wanted and needed to do, but couldn't, not sleeping the first night because of not being able to get into a comfortable position, calling the doctors office to ask for an emergency medicine call-in so I could at least get some sleep only to call back hours later to check ETA and being told "Oh, you'll have to wait 48 hours or so for a call-in - want to make an appointment to come in?"**. And there were highs...from the medicine that I finally got (luckily, the first lady I spoke with at the Drs office realised the urgency and I got the medicine the same day), being able to sleep finally, having my husband stay home Monday and Tuesday to look after me, getting caught up on all the "Martha" episodes I'd been taping for the past weeks, and finally finding a comfortable position to lie in!

I'm still a bit stiff and achey, but at least I can get around a bit now and start catching up on work!

**Sistah, please - if I could come in, I wouldn't need the drugs
