There is a fundraiser in the early planning stages for a lovely lady in Greensboro, Jinni Hoggard, who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. I'm currently working on a painting that I hope to do a good enough job on to donate for a silent auction item, and I'll probably donate some prints or mini-prints of some existing work and maybe some stuff from Luna Grove for door/raffle prizes.
I know a good portion of you who read this blog are also artists, so I thought I'd post this and see if any of you might be interested in donating some small arty-items. If so, let me know - comment here, or in the thread at the forum linked above, or email me at mary at lunagrove dot com. I'm willing to be a collection point for anything you guys may want to send, and will pass the items along to the planners as the event planning progresses. If you're interested, let me know and I'll pass the information along and then let you know where and when to send any donations. Anyone who reads who isn't an artist - if you've got connections with businesses who like to help with these sorts of things, I'm sure the planners can use all the help they can get!
